Software Engineer (C#)

S.M.A.R.TS IS A CONCEPTUAL PIECE MADE BY A FEW FRIENDS AND I. WE HAD THE IDEA FOR A COUCH CO-OP, PROCEDURALLY GENERATED, PARTY GAME WHERE YOU AND YOUR TEAM WORK TO RID HOMES OF OUT OF CONTROL ROBOTS, AND REPAIR THE AI CONTROLLING IT. WE SPENT THE BETTER PART OF A YEAR DEVELOPING ON THE IDEA, AND WERE ABLE TO SHOW IT OFF AT INDIANA POPCON.

Core Responsibilities

  • S.M.A.R.Ts was the first large scale collaborative project I had ever worked on.

  • I took the roles as the project lead and lead programmer.

  • The concept of S.M.A.R.Ts came while taking a game design class in college where I wanted to make a party game that had a Jetsons style to it. Work began in that same class, but afterwards a handful of us continued working on it for the remained of the year.

  • The key feature is a system that procedurally fills each room in the house, changing how you have to approach it each time.

  • While the team eventually had to split ways before completion Iā€™m still proud of what we accomplished.
